Quick Questions

I'm currently looking for bank owned single family homes to rehab and resell. I'm working with a realtor using the MLS.

How many of you do this or are there better options?

I'm also curious do you think that all lender owned properties are listed in the MLS? Should I be contacting the banks directly or is there no need to?

Do you think most banks just contract with a realtor to sell their foreclosed homes so they don't have to deal with them, and if so do you think it is right to assume that those types of banks will just direct you to talk to the listing realtor?

It is my understanding that most banks list properties with realot on MLS. Occasionally they will deal with you privately. There are also times, when it may take several months after the foreclosure for the property to get listed.

It is true that most banks will work with a realtor. You can, in fact, see Bank of Americas REO on their site - but it will send you to a Realtor.
