Every Association Has A Few
Why is it that no matter what REI association you belong to or log on to always has the few posters that always want to "one up" the last poster, wants to try and dazzle everyone with their infinite wisdom, wants to preach to people, and can't be just a "real person"? I know I'm venting but this is annoying. Anyone else experience this?

I find that that usually means that they are posers instead of posters. There are three types:
Those that do it and are too competitive
Those that need recognition for false deeds
Those that have a fake persona
All of them that do it though are hilarious to watch. But then again I like watching Jerry Springer too. So I guess its sort of a warped, slow down for the ambulance type of curiousity. lol
Yeah, well I'm the most clueless guy on the entire board, so top THAT.

This might be slightly off topic, but I think the standard rules of communication get thrown in the garbage can. People do NOT talk to each other the same way they write in these (or any) forums.
I guess it is the same as Road Rage.
Thanks folks. I guess you do have to look at it as comical and maybe I should just lighten up and consider the source.
