Submeter

I am in the process of purchasing a 30 unit community. The property as a Maser Meter for the water. I would like to submeter the water system. All other utilities are paid by tenant. Is 30 unit too small a community do submeter. I would like any suggestion on this. The property is in North Carolina. What is a good company to use to do this.

Personally I think anything more than a duplex should be submetered. If it is a mobile home community then I would just hire a handyman and get the meters wholesale. The really nice ones are 250 and up, the cheap ones were 45 bucks.
If its apartments, it will cheapest to go with a local plumber. I have seen where you may have to have the city do it at your expense, check with your water company. You may want to do that first to ensure compliance, if not they will make you take it out and do it again. It all depends on who is going to be reading the meters, and to whom the tenants are paying there water bill.

    Good Luck,
    Kyle
