You could ask the neighbors about any children. You could also write a letter to the address with do not forward, it will be returned to you with whatever address the mail is being forwarded to. If the person passed away read the obituary, it will say survived by someone. Or you could hire a Private investigation firm, costs will be anywhere from 50 bucks to 500 dollars.
I am sure there are more ways, thats just off the top of my head.
