Insurance For Park & Rental Trailers

db9 profile photo

Anyone have a good recommendation of an insurance company that will cover a 30 space MHP and 11 rental trailers? A company that hopefully won't charge an arm and a leg . . .

I'm purchasing the property soon. Its located in Washington State.

Thanks! smile

If you do not mind sharing I would be interested in knowing where in WA state the two buyers are purchasing their park. I am a little further south in OR. No parks yet. Building an interest though.

I am also purchasing a park in Washington. It is just a small one in eastern WA. I have several quotes that were done for me and the best price I have found is around $74 per space per annum. That is for $1,000,000 liabilty. I got the quote from farmers, and from several commercial insurance brokers. All of the quotes I recieved (3) were in the same range of $1100 per year for my 15 unit park.

    REGARDING PARK INSURANCE --

Ask the current park owner who they have the park insurance with. That is a first start if you do not have an insurance company in mind. Ask to see a copy of the park insurance policy and review it.

I just closed an escrow on a park in California and the buyer continued with the seller's insurance company.

Husband and I will put an offer to paper later today to purchase a 16 space trailor park. All 16 spaces have trailors about 3 need to be disposed of and alot of mant. work will be needed on the grounds. There are 5 trailors already rented with long term renters.

I am also getting ready to call about insurance, so any help would be great.

Also these tralors are 60's and 70's models. Is there anything I need to know for owning trailors of this age? asbestos, etc...(in MS)

Does anybody know the rules, laws, etc In owning a tralior park in Mississippi?

Thank you so much for your time :-D
