Manager-managed Single Member LLC

ew86 profile photo

I have few single member LLC with member-managed type. I set up as single member so that it can be disregarded as far as tax purposes.

Recently, an accountant told me that manager-managed LLC is better for protection in a case of charging order. I would like to ask for second opinion on this. I am not sure if it worth the effort to change all of them to manager-managed LLC. Thx.

Most of my LLC are in AZ. One in FL and one in TX.

I believe this change does not make any different as far as tax. The entity is disregarded on both cases.[ Edited by ew86 on Date 08/23/2006 ]

You need to gete a local attorney to the area where the house is located. Hopefully somone on this Board who has units there can provide you with a referral.
