I would like to find some info on creating an investment group to invest in RE. Can I take $ from individuals and combine it to use as investment money for RE? Where can I find info on this?

Thanks!

    Hi,
I think what you may be considering is called a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). If you run a search on the articles using "REIT" you will probably be able to find some info. on the subject to help you out.
    Have a good one!

I looked at this, but it looks as if the need to be publicly traded or headed in that direction if beginning as private. I found something on the internet about a year ago concerning investment in RE with as little or as a much as you want to. Of course, I can't find that site again. Any other ideas? What type of returns could I give to a few people who "loan" me money to start RE investing? I just need some ideas...

    Thanks

What about a real estate investment group...like a stock investment group? Where the members invest $ each month to work towards purchasing a property and it is owned by the group. Is there such a thing? Where can I find more info?

You can start a REI Group in your area. However, the members do not give you money for you to invest. They do give you a membership fee. This usually goes back into the group. Once you set up the group...you have meetings. Within these meetings, you may (or may not) meet potential partners looking to invest with others.

I started an investment group here in Alaska and have met some great people. The money for membership is just that...not to be spent by the administrator (you). It is a great way to meet other goal minded individuals.

About seven or eight years ago, Merle and Pat Woolley published a course called "How to Get All the Money You'll Ever Need For Your Real Estate Investing".

Their course was a blueprint for finding private investors to fund your real estate transactions.

The Woolleys are no longer actively engaged in the real estate eduction industry, but their ideas live on. Check e-bay and auction sites to see if you can find a copy of their course.
