Public Records Information

I am a newbie to real estate foreclosures. I have acquired a feed of Notices of Default , Notice of Sale and REO's and can acquire the address of the property. I am looking for the best way to research the public records and get the address and number of the owner in default check the loans outstanding and any other liens on the property. I am in Southern California and cannot access the public records database from home I must go down to the county clerks office. Is there a better way to find this information either through a web based detective system or is there a pay site (within reason) for unlimited searches and information. Any information on how to complete my investigation on the owner and property would be appreciated
Thank you

There is a service in la - named retran. They have a web site that requires a subscription. It is not in the category "commercial" - instead it is in the category "network". I have not tried it. Im sure you know that the la county tax assessor has a site - but I dont think it gives what you want. I believe I have access to what you want but dont know how to make a link between us. If you want to publish an address that you dont care about I could se if what I have fits your need - if so maybe we can find a way to communicate. What I have is free to me via the title company I use.
