California Tax deeds
Hi a friend and I would like to invest in california we are in the central valley. We are in the Fresno county area. We are reading and listening alot lately to others. We want to try and get a feel for the language in this investing and what it means. We went to the county assesors web sight and poked around there but alot of language and abbreviations we do not understand yet. Went to the central valley newspaper online and read about peoples property going up for auction. I went back to the assessors web page put in the land owners name and saw that there was a pattern that continued in a downward spiral to the point of the auction. Some properties I have noticed have a lien from the IRS on the records. We want to proceed just unsure of ourselves. I know that the tax deed sale for fresno county is in March so we missed the first one and will need to get educated for the next one. The items up for auction that I am viewing in the paper are not the same thing yet might be worth investing in also. I need to know where to research things such as code violations on the property, other encumberances that may be attached to the property, and how to search the title. We want to invest not inherit the old owners problems.
