"Bird Dogs" And Foreclosures?

First off, what is the best book or reference to start understanding purchasing foreclosed homes?

Now, considering I need to learn, if you still want to answer my newbie question:

Is it possible to bid on houses and then find someone else to either come up with the capital (instead of paying cash at auction close) or bird dog for someone else and give it to them? I guess it all comes down to time constraints.

It is very common to geta property under contract and sell that contract to another investor. You tend to make more money doing it that way than bird-dogging, but there is more risk involved. If someone would bring me a list of people in pre_foreclosure with all the details that would be great to. I'd try bird dogging first to get an idea of what is a good dela and what you should pass on. Then keep the good ones for yourself.
