Sherman Aqc. - Illegal Practice?

I read a post a few months ago that said sherman aqcuisitions were involved in fraudulant activities. Something about changing a date on the credit report when they buy your loan. The post also said something about sending a "SOL" letter? I never found out what that was. The guy said you could send this letter because sherman did not have a license in FL and they would send you $1000 (settlement) and if you pushed the issue, clear your record. I had a Sears account that went delinquent and was bought by Sherman. They have recently contacted me about paying off my debt. I want to pay my original amount, but I can't do it for about a month or two. They are a pain in the a$$ to deal with and I don't want to give them any info or make any deals if there is something else I should be doing.

Does this make any sense to anyone? Can anyone give me precise details about how to handle Sherman?

Junk Debt Buyers like Sherman have 2 cents on the dollar or less invested in your old debt.

They will reage, they will ignore the statute of limitations, they will falsely claimed that you made them a payment a few years ago that restarted the statute of limitations, they will do anything they can.

more info on defeating them can be found at:
