First Thing Yoiu shpould do is call your mortgage holder and let them know what is going on if you havent already done so. They mightbe able to work out a forebearance aggreement and give you some short term relief. Additionally,
Do you have any resources family friends 401k etc that you can borrow from to help you through these times of difficulty. If not you may want to either consult an attorney about possibly filing bankruptcy or a credit counselor to help you restructure your debts and budget your finance.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks
We have contacted the mortgage company and they did not seem concerned about helping us. I have contacted a credit management company to help with the other bills but they do not include the mortgage or the taxes, which are the highest.
I have check on filing bankrupcy but in NYS you cannot own a home and file unless you agree to sell your home, which I do not want to loose.
    Thanks for the advice.

Credit Management will harm your credit scores, so do this only as a final option.

If you consolidate your debt by rolling it into a rate & term refinance, you can pay much less per month, and all of the mortgage interest is tax deductible (ccard interest is not).
