High Credit Card Balances

cqfladg profile photo

I'm in a situation where my credit is preventing me from getting the credit needed to qualify for certain programs or where I can make purchases for no money down. I try to make the payments but the income does not allow me to pay them down in the fashion I should be. I do have a credit repair service disputing my credit to increase my credit rating. What can I do in the meantime. Help!

    Are you paying the service?

If you are get rid of them.

    You can dispute them yourself.
There is a good letter in the freebies section to dispute all credit information on your rerport.

Other than that it takes time. I dispute everything on my credit report every 2 years automaticly , because it is removed if they do not reply in 30 days. My score is a 760. dispute dispute dispute....

    fap,

Let me get this straight. Even if the account on your credit report is legitimate, you still dispute it?

Do you dispute your report with the three major bureaus? Do you just tell them that it isn't your account?

    Thanks

Credit repair services are a joke in my opinion....you can easily dispute it yourself.

You do not need credit in r.e. investing!

    None!

I have never filled out one credit app ever and never will....

Credit is never an issue unless you make it one!

I personally have a low 500 score and can buy 150-200k homes with $10 down turning 25-40k profits and letters of recommendation from people with their thanks....

So can it be done... yes!

Do work on your credit...but you do it.....credit services will cost you more...they are never doing anything for free....

Do you have any late payments in the last 2 years??, or is the problem just high credit card balances or a high debt/income ratio???

I have also heard that banks look at you as if you have filed for bankruptcy after you sign up with one of those credit repair services.
And you can do what they are doing on your own.

    Hi.
I'm in a situation where my wife's insurance was supposed to cover a procedure she had done. It was never paid and now there is a "collection" notice on her report. She's been trying to get the insurance to move their rear-ends but to no avail. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

I have a similar case. My wife had a blood test done and was covered. The insurance company wanted additional information, which the doctor never provided. On top of that the doctor kept on sending the bill to my old address. I never knew what was going on. I applied for a loan and saw the doctor placed it on collection. I paid it and talked to insurance company, who reimbursed me. But that info is still on my credit report.

One option is to have a letter (in your own words) which will be kept in your credit file and seen by those pulling your credit.

Get the medical issue resolved. If the insurance is with an employer, get them (HR benefits group) involved and have the issue resolved. Insurance companies do not enjoy receiving messages from the benefit coordinator.

Ok. Thanks for help and quick response.
Whom should she call first? The insurance company? doctors office?
The place where she had the test/procedure done which put the item into collection?

Martman's question is ****Must Reach Senior Investor status before posting URL's***ders hold the attitude that using those agencies means you can't handle your finances and they just lining up for problems.(my girl friend is a loan officer)Remember this:Lender are not in business to lend money ,they are in business to get it back!
