Referral Fees
I recently found a parcel of land that is too large for me to develop(residential ). I am in the process of bringing in a national developer, and letting them have it. I have been told that a fee is usually paid by them for finding the propery. Any ideas what I should expect....a flat fee, a % of the value of the land, etc.?
If you are not a licenced broker you cannot accept a % fee for finding the property. You can probably draw up a consulting contract for 1% in $ terms of the asking price and not get any flack from the developer. They will probably try to negotiate a lower price.
