ha! i just read that article in my local paper. I bet the depreciation in that area went sky-high. I mean, who is gonna buy a pre-exsisting home in that area when they can get a free plot and build a home for 80 or 90% of what the end value will be? I'd like to know what that did to their housing market there.
lol it will probably be the reverse. If they havent moved any real estate in the past and all of a sudden they move that many homes then the prices will start to rise. I would love to have owned the land next to it for future development.
Interesting idea. I think it could work if they can reach a point of critical mass.
I saw it in games in years past, a small group noone wanted to be a part of. If you could get large enough to to do certain things people flocked to you in droves. Our Army suffers from a lack of mass now. Half the size we were 12 years ago and it's more difficult to fill the ranks. If they increased the size it would be easier to attract new people.
