if you had a couple thousand dollars that you could use on a credit card, would you use it for a down payment or for various other fees? i know the rates are high, but it's someone else's money.....
Before I bought my first property, I was asking the president of the local REI club about using my home equity -- I was nervous at the time about that. She told me she got started by using her credit cards -- now she is very successful. IMHO, if the deal is a good deal and you aren't paying too much interest, then go for it. But don't just use the cards because you want A deal.
I use mine. Have 75K available between my wife and I. only used small amounts before but..... Just have a fool proof exit strategy on the purchase that includes paying them off quick.
