Title companies are the places where you do a real estate closing. They handle all the paperwork and dispersing of funds involved with closing a real estate transcation. They also perform title searches on properties to make sure the title is clear before you close. They can be a very valuable asset. You can find them anywhere, even the yellow pages.
I would also like to say that they are more useful or important than agents. Agents simply match sellers with buyers for a comission. It is in fact the title company and the mortgage broker that do all the real work required to make a sale happen

They are also good sources for deals from other investors(both mortgage brokers and title cos.).
