Looking For Marketing Suggestions......
Are business cards the best marketing tool to get started with bird-dogging? Why or why not?
Other than word of mouth are there any other result-forming marketing tools to use to get my name out there?

Magnet signs on vehicle, newspaper ads, business cards, flyers left at strategic spots, T-shirts, bumper stickers, billboards, tv spots, radio time...OK, some of those may be over the top but most of those are inexpensive and will help to create a buzz
What have u found to work for you? Assuming that you may have done some bird-dogging.

I have never done bird-dogging but have marketed for other reasons, like to find homes or income properties. If I lived on the business I got from only business cards, I would be broke. Word of mouth takes a while and when you are in an area chock-full on investors (which, who isn't by the way, tell me so I can move there
)
Like everything in life, playing the numbers will force you to succeed. Calling 30 people a day will get you a certain number of deals, putting up X number of flyers will get you a deal or two, etc.
