Getting Started...

Hello,

I'm looking for any advice and/or literature on a particular real estate investment approach. I am 30, and I have a career with an excellent salary. I'm not looking to be a full-time landlord. I'm looking to acquire rental properties (appt buildings, duplexes, single residences, condos, whatever), and build for retirement in 25 years. I plan to reinvest whatever the properties make, plus part of my income into more properties. I expect to use property management companies.

I've read a couple of books that involve this approach. The best I've found is "Buy and Hold" by David Schumacher. Anyone know of any others? Suggestions about getting started?

As I am learning, there are ALOT of insightful articles on here that could help you. Also there's a menu tab for some recommended books/etc. to help you along. I think John Locke's eBooks are really popular around here. As for motivational books, I recommend Robert Kiyosaki's series of books. Hope that helped.
