Consensus: Are Partnerships A Good Idea?
Hi,
I'm just starting in CRI. I've met up with 2 people who are doing a mentorship program with Conti and Finkel and have invited me to join for a reduced fee.
My question is not so much about the mentorship program as it is about partnerships in general. Do partnership work, in general?
I've heard some people say that it is a good idea, while others say it is not.
Any comments are appreciated.

As long as the partnership is not your only source of income they usually work out quite well. In the past for me, it seems to be a problem if the only source of income for the partners are the LLC. People tend to be overly protective if it is there only one. I actively encourage any partner to seek other partnerships or sources of income, this way they are more leniant on each source, as long as it is profitable.
Also make sure you know who is the alpha male in the group immediately and make sure you can deal with that on a long term.
