How Do Mobile Home Parks Work?

So lets say I bought a "movable" mobile home that I want to move. Would I be able to buy an empty lot at a MH park, pour the foundation, pay for all the hookups, and move my MH there? Is that the way its done? And would I just have to pay the MH park a monthly lot rent until I sold the MH?

Any advice is appreciated!

    Depends on your area, but condoized mobile home parks are starting to go the way of the dodo bird.

    Most have rental arrangements gives the owner of the park constant income, too profitable for people to pass up.

    You could just buy a lot of land and put it on there, having more land would allow a doublewide prefab and a yard.

    PS if I'm wrong about the commonality of condoized trailerhome parks, ie. where you can buy vs rent the land, please correct me, but I don't know of any around Chicagoland.

    I live in CA, but I could look into parks in AZ and NV too.
    If I got just the land, I would need to run power to it, get a septic tank, a well, permits, zoning, and other stuff probably. Any ideas how much this would cost and how long it would take? It would be nice if I could avoid that and just rent/buy a "ready" lot in a park.
