Cost Of Architect And Engineer ?
I have a pretty good strategy lined up for developing townhouses in Florida, which include commissioning an architect to create plans for a quad of luxury medditeranean townhouses (6000 sq ft of living space). I have received varied responses in regard to the cost of the plans. My goal is to pay for the plans one time and then build the same units all over the place. What is the price range that this line item should cost?

I wonder if you can get plans from someone that has already done them for some additional fee? You could look at the units and see if they have the design you want and then add more units with the same design.
It would be ideal to find an architect who already has a set similar to what we want. In fact I do have a competitor in town who I am modeling my places after. I even know who their architect is but I am not sure how loyal they are to them.
I can open the question to two options:
1. What would be the expected cost if commissioned from scratch?
2. What would be the expected cost if plans were modified from source plans?
