What are invoices for?

Invoices help people and organizations create quotes, request payment, and track billing work.

What is the difference between a draft, quote, and invoice?

A draft is for preparing and editing. A quote is for review before payment. An invoice is ready for payment.

Why does an invoice need a jobsite?

The jobsite shows where the work or property-related activity belongs. It helps both sides understand what the invoice is about.

Why can the billing address and jobsite be different?

The billing address identifies who receives the bill. The jobsite identifies where the work happens.

Can a public viewer pay an invoice?

Sometimes. Public payment is available only when the invoice allows it and is ready for payment.

What does request changes mean?

Request changes lets a reviewer ask the sender to update an invoice before payment. When the action is available, select Request Changes from the invoice email or invoice detail page and explain what needs to be corrected.

What happens after I pay an invoice?

The invoice is marked paid after the payment is confirmed. It may then become read-only while remaining available as a receipt.
