wholesaling and RE agents?

I was wondering if it's ok to use an agent when flipping properties or do they frown upon investors that do this? It seems to me that it shouldn't be a problem for them as they are still getting paid their commission. Is it a good idea to tell your agent up front that you will be flipping these properties and make sure it's ok with them??? Thanks, Matt surprised

Yes , you can... You need MLS and then you make offers through them. They get their bonus and you get the flip. It can work nicely... the challenge is to find one that works with you.

    Hi Matt,

You certainly can wholesale properties using realtors. I've done a couple hundred of them with realtors. You don't necessarily want to advertise to the realtor what your intentions are as you are trying to establish a relationship with them. It may turn them off. Most realtors consider "flipping" to be illegal simply because they don't know any better. Just let them know that you want to buy the home. Then do your thing.

Once they find out what you are doing, and they see that you do it well and that you produce and they get their commissions, they won't have a problem with it.

Before they see you actually pull it off, the nightmare of working many hours without pay for you is all they can think of.

Performance goes a long way with many people in this business.
