Mackco, Take this from a Real Estate Agent here in Cali, the two best things if you are interested in purchasing this home, 1. to have a Real Estate Agent that deals with Investors, 2. Attempt to contact the local Title Company in your area. If you get in good (like I did before I got my licience) with the marketing department of a Title Company then ususally as a nice gesture they will give you access to the online property profiles which will give you most of the information that you are looking for.

you definatly dont need a realtor. Its like all these realtors are in some kind of a cult. they look out for each other and try to give each other business. the funny thing is that realtors dont even do anything other than dress like they are important and list the property on MLS. They claim they draw up this and that document and blah blah blah. Big deal....yes if you want the exposure then sure have them put it on the MLS. it just kills me that people talk about t them as they are urgent.

as far as the recorders goes i know where i live i just go search through all the stuff myself. i go to the tax assessor and i get the street card and find the book and page and go to the clerks office and look up the deed. [ Edited by ryand on Date 03/09/2005 ]
