I need more information on notes, I hear of them all the time, but I have no idea what they are about. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what they are, how they work, and how profitable are these notes.

Thanks oh oh

Notes are quite simply the loan document. You can buy the loan on the house rather than the house for a discount and make the money by slowly getting the interest, or foreclosing when they dont pay. At that point you would sell the house to someone, take a note and make more money. There are articles here on this website just click on the articles Tab above this post.

basicly a note is written promise to repay a certain sum of money on specified terms. Also known as a "promissory note."or an ****Must Reach Senior Investor status before posting URL's***.U hope this helps.

Why would a lender allow you to buy a note at a discount?

    ruman-

the lender is the previous owner...for whatever reason the seller holding the note wants to cash out...

so for getting a lump sum of money up front, the lender sells at a discount, so that it is profitable for the investor...(just like the lottery, you can get payments for 20 years or you can take a discount and get a lump sum all up front). hope that clears it up.
