Uncomfortable lawyers

MFNCFF profile photo

I took my sub 2 contracts to my lawyer To make sure they are valid in VA. and he said he just wouldn’t be comfortable helping me do sub 2 deals but, he likes L/O just fine (insert filth and foul here). A thousand monkeys banging away at a thousand typewriters for an hour composed a Shakespearean play yet, all he could come up with is “I just wouldn’t be comfortable helping you violate the DOS.” So, while I find a better lawyer, I be one of those “has anybody got forms good in” Virginia people. What a communist state! (mumble, mumble, mumble) Perhaps someone know of a REI club in VA.

Thanks,
M

    MFNCFF,

    Glad to meet you.

Go to this link an print it out for your Attorney. might as well educate them if you can't use them.

    http://www.legalwiz.com/dueonsale.htm

Welcome on board this board, William Bronchick, Esq. took the time to review the DOS clause, so for some Attorneys they would recommend the L/O method "no brainer" without providing there client with a competent answer to their real question.

Ask, him what happens when the Seller files Bankruptcy or has an IRS lein placed against them when your are only leasing the property then see if it is still a "no brainer".

I am sure you can find a competent Real Estate Attorney, go to

    www.martindale.com

find some REI Attorneys in your area and e-mail, maybe one of them can spell Subject To. Seriously, I am confident you can find one to work with.
