The Real Estate Investiing Institution?

Jace profile photo

I am new to this game and I want to learn about reii before I try to make a deal. I have recently found a course that provides mentoring for one year with an experience REI. Also, they require that I spend at least 5-10 hours per week looking at real estate. I would have to submit 12 property worksheets to my mentor per week (look at 12 properties) to find out if they have profit potential. Then I get guidance whenever I want to complete a deal only if they approve that it is worth my while. Has anybody heard of this institute before?? Even if you haven't. Please let me know anything that might pertain to this. Thanks everyone for all past, present, and future information. I am here to learn, and teach..... when I get to that point!!
thanks again.

    Jace:
A mentor can be a very powerful tool. Did you know that Tiger Woods has a coach and mentor....

I would highly recommend one, however the right one. You should get some references from this company and talk to past students, have them provide you info on their deals, etc... Watch out for the scams out there...

If I were you this is what I would do 1st:

-Get your real-estate license. A great education and you will learn how to run comps, have MLS access and be able to network with other agents before they hit the market. You can concentrate on a mailing campaign to attract people who want to list their houses for cash-flow and spend your time finding your own deals you can buy/sell.
-Purchase Ron Legrands wholesale/retail course. Go to shop and then consignment on this site.
-Come to this site and read-read-read- everyday for an hour or two.

Your main goal should be to learn how to: Retail-Wholesale-Rent

    Best Riches,

I agree with what these guys are saying here.

I've purchased a couple of courses, including LeGrand's (which is a great course) but the one thing I haven't done is find a mentor.

I think having someone you can talk to that has been through it all would really help. Look, I don't have a mentor and I still haven't completed my first deal. LOL

What I'm getting myself to do first is to begin attending the local investor meetings and start participating and meeting people. I think that's really important. Then I can begin building my contacts, buyers list and be ready.
