Has anyone dug into this any further.

    The lawsuit ruling was BRUTAL.

Seem like if it was done w/o (DUH!) violating the law, it could be a profitable tool. Similar to judicial foreclosure redemption.

For one county in CA, Since 10/10, there have been 900 tax deeds issued. If we assume the over bid was just 2K/property, that;s a lot of cash on the table.

Well worth 5k-10k of legal fees to understand the legal process.

Thnks for the response . I discovered in MD that VA will not accept the assignment. I have decided to structure the contract directly with the buyer and seller and just draw an s=addendum for the finders fee. This is a tricky business but I am learning !!

Unless your seller is an individual as appossed to a bank (reo, short sale) assignments are a thing of the past in this market.

It is better to consult it with both buyers and sellers and than later on working on different aspects that will be much better.
