Size Of A Farm Area

This is a follow on to martin1g's post on choosing a farm area. How large or small should your farm area be? I am looking for a ballpark figure..... i'm interested in wholesaling or rehabbing middle class homes...and want to choose an area small enough to be accurate in market knowledge but large enough to produce consistent deals.

if you live in a big city, chances are you should be able to work within a 5 or 10 mile radius of your home. For smaller towns, you may have to expand your farm in order to find enough deals. It all depends on where the good deals are and how far your're willing to travel
