Quick Question!

QUICK question my fellow Americans...
I'm in the process of someone getting a loan in there name because they have good credit and I'm going to be the co-borrower..
When I go to refinance the property can I do it as the co-borrower or do the primary borrower have too?
any info would help thank you....Peace!

You can do the refi - just you. This happens a lot when people get divorced. One party quit claims the interest and the other party has to refi to get the mortgage in their name only.

If your situation improves by the time you want to refi then you can do it on your own. If you pay your mortgage on time you may be eligible for a mortgage only loan. That question can not be answered because people's lives change every 3-6 months. Hopefully you are doing the foot work to imparove your situation so you can be the primary when that time comes.
