Putting Together Groups Of Investors

I was wondering if someone out there had any suggestions for putting together small groups of investors. For example, say I've got 10 individuals that would each like to invest $50K in multi-family properties. What is the best way to leverage these funds? What type of corporate entity would you suggest (LLC, C Corp, LLC with each individuals' shares held in their own C Corp)? What is the best way to generate income for myself while buying properties for the investors? I'm still just trying to flesh out some ideas, so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The book Own Your Own Corporation by Garrett Sutton might be of interest.

My first thought is that a limited partnership would fit well. Set up a corporation or LLC (depending) and use it as your general partner.

A c-corp might be wanted if your intentions are to keep a majority of the profit.
