Paperwork for buying process

pserber profile photo

I have been doing much studying on RE investing. I like the wholesale route best right now. My question is, where do I get info on the proper forms I would need to purchase a property and the best time frames to use, etc.? I am in Calif.

Thanks!

Try a local store that sells Legal Froms.

They usually have a packet with all the forms you need and an explanation on how to fill them out. You can also try your County Law Library if need be.

Purchase agreements also depend on the area as well. You could consult a local realtor to find out where to get one.

In addition to what has been said above, check with a RE agent asking for a copy of the California Dept. of Real Estate (DRE) Purchase Agreement or go online to Formulater.com and download. This will give you an idea of the paperwork for purchase. Remember that this paperwork is set-up to protect the agent/agency so a lot of the clauses are not necessary in a principle to principle creative transaction.
You can then make your own contracts with what you found.
Also check out the download section of this site for forms.

    Good Luck,
