Need Help Getting Started In TN

Brianbtn profile photo

I'm looking for info on how to get started with Real Estate investing. I would like to know more about how to flip properties for profit. I have a little money saved but not much. I have been hearing about no money down but then again i have heard that isn't a good idea. Any suggestions? Book I should read? Anything would be great! Where should I Start????

Thanks!
Brian

    Hi Brian:
You are on the right track. I recommend all new investors to start out as 'Wholesalers'. I would recommend
Ron Legrands Wholesale/Retail course which you can purchase used on ebay or even on this site if still available..

Join an REI Club in your area.... Take a course on marketing and how to find deals. I would also recommend the upcoming bootcamp in Orlando, Florida that Robyn Thompson and David Lindahl are putting on. It will teach you everything from negotiating with sellers and finding the deals!

Would you recommend Ron Legrand's Ugly/Pretty house boot camp or would I be better off to start with his cash flow system? I'm kinda limited on funds and would like to know the best route to getting started?

hey brian, those boot camps are great but you say you are low on funds. There is a wealth of knowledge right here on this site. You should read every question posted in these forums and you can learn a lot. You need to talk to some investors in your hometown too. there are usually clubs you can go to. maybe you can start by birddoggin for them. youll learn a lot that way.
