Letter Of ReDirection

We are in the process of selling a property. As part of the closing the buyer is talking about a "Letter of ReDirection" to a company that will be doing the constuction work on the house. Has anyone had experience with Letters of redirection? are they common in wholesale deals? Thanks

    Speaking for myself I've never heard of this Letter of Redirection. What purpose does it serve? Anyone else heard of this?
