What kind of preparation do I need to make a bid at Trustee in Norwalk, CA? Do I need to register first? Do I need to bring the cashier check or can I get it once I know I win the bid? To whom the check should be payable to?

Here (Santa Clara) it is a public auction, and other than registering w/ the auctioneer, no.
All of my contracts have a certain number of day inspection period with right to cancel. As I have a large database of investors, I know that if I push it out and do not hear anything for 2 weeks, then, it is not that great of a deal and I want to cancel the contract anyway. I never lose escrow or deposit money this way.
