Help Finding A Mentor.

Mvestor profile photo

Hi-

My name is Matt and I am currently in the process of finding a mentor. I would like to develop a relationship with someone who could help me though my first wholesale deal. With the profits from this deal I plan on funding my real estate investing education. I know you experienced investors read post like this all the time, but I am very serious and would just like a little guidance on my first deal. I am young and have a ton of energy and motivation. I also have construction and sales experience and would be more than happy to help you in any way I can.

Thanks and have a great day!

I would suggest that you join your local real estate investing club and seek out guidance from that end.

I get 30 to 40 emails just like this every day and my suggestions are all the same.

    Join your local REI club
Go to the public library and read all you can on investing
Make sure you have a job to support yourself during this process

This is just a few of the beginning steps.

Thanks for the reply. I have joined my local REI club and have made a few contacts. I also have a great job to support myself. I thought I would post this topic to see if anyone here may be interested in providing a little guidance. Thanks again for the reply.

A lot of us can get $5 or 10K in interest free credit for a year from platinum cards, so I think it is a great way to finance materials purchase. It is very cheap credit, and although you have to make a minimum payment, even that goes against the principle.

BTW, this post is better suited for the "rehabbing" forum.
