Thanks everybody for input on subjects so far... I was just wondering, I have this great property I'm going to put a contract on tomorrow(if nobody beats me to it) worth 150k and Its almost as good as mine in the morning for 99k. Does anybody know if I can use a contact from a realtor office If I'm not a realtor anymore? and do I have to have it notarized and the assignment sheet I downlowded here? Please help! smile

Are you talking about the standard FARBAR contract or some proprietary contract for the firm you "used to" be with??? Anyone can use the FARBAR, but major realty companies have their own modified (not quite boiler plate) versions, and there might have been some privacy agreements in your employment contract with them saying that you would not use their intellectual property unless employed by them. Best bet is to leave their stuff behind. Anything you like in it, you can always write in as an addendum on the regular FARBAR. It just won't look as pre-printed and slick, but then again, who needs slick?

I have seen a lot of different contracts in my day. I usually go with the forms out of a book called 301 LEGAL FORMS & AGREEMENTS. I can usually modify them to my benefit. I bought the book online because it is out of print. Now most stores have each individual contract for sale for each transaction.

Contact your local Board of Realtors. They usually have contracts that they will sell to you at say $3.00 each. Because they are the standard state contracts anyone can buy them. Some lawyers offices also have them if they deal with estates and sales. It really isn't hard to get them.

In Texas I access the TAR website and print the pdf versions available free of charge...then hand write my offers...they result in more authentic reactions and I can generate them in 15 minutes...I always submit complete offers, never letters of intent or related such.
