assignment contracts with no settlement date
Hi Everyone, I recently entered into the investment world and I am about flip my first contract but I have some problems. The person who wants to buy my contract wants to pay me at settlement but in the contract he did not state a specific date on which he would like to settle. ShouldI put this in the contract as well. He claims he can't do a title search until I sign the assignment contract. Also the homeowners I sign the contract to are in foreclosure, I don't even know if this buyer is credible. How can I protect myself?
