Agent Or Inspector (which One) To Assist In Investment Career?

CBuford profile photo

I am interested in becoming a wholesaler and rehabber.. Would it be a help to either get certified as a RE inspector or RE agent? Which one would be of greater value to obtain along with being a wholesaler. I heard a speaker at my local reia say that she was an investor as well as an agent, so that she could have access to mls and sale her own properties. I was thinking becoming an inspector would help me in estimating repair values. If I were to get one or the other to assist my investment career, which one would you recommend and why? Keep in mind that in my state you have to be sponsored (first) by a broker before you can take the test to become an agent.

How did you find that information about SC and how would you faciliate the process of buying the foreclosured property from CA? Would you have to work with someone who is in SC or would you travel to SC yourself? Also do you know what the requirements are for TN or could you tell me how to find out? Thanks for you info.
