I was thinking that at the top of the Forums page there was a list of rules. I don't see that anymore. I know that board hustling was discussed on the list of rules, but I don't remember specifically what it was.
i think it's just when people gather info from members of the site for means other than to help in rei, like building lists to spam people or somethin.
Board hustling is when you get these private messages or emails from other users that say something like "I'll gladly help you learn the business/be a mentor/etc. All it'll cost you is $5K upfront and I'll teach you everything about REI."
First, these people frequently have little to no actual experience in REi and there is no way for the individual to verify any info about these characters.
Second, spamming, scamming, and soliciting other members is not the intention of the website, is not supported, and should not be tolerated.
So, if any user has had a similiar pm or email like above, please contact Joel, John Locke, myself or one of the other moderators.
