Yes I too appreciate the change, particularly from the two blues. The tan text background is considerably easier on the eyes. And blue is one of my more favorite colors, as a preference.
Generally a yellowish color is very easy on the eyes. That is why Legal Pads are yellow (from what I heard).
In this particular case, it was a random color that I saw on a different part of the website, and I liked it as the background. So, I just figured, I might as well go for it.

it makes the black copy "pop" more. Nice balance...
I love the new colors. It looks much more sophisticated. Great job on the upgrade!
