Setting My Email Preferences?

Hi,

I am attempting to check the box on my profile options that allows other users to email me, but when I update my preferences, the box remains unchecked. I am wondering if this is a glitch or if it is designed that way for new posters. Thanks!

    are you a paying member?

    I beleive that is a requirement.
