Product Reviews?

rajwarrior profile photo

Hello everyone,

Just curious, but do any of the members here buy the products in the shop area?

The reason for my question is this, there are many, many courses, books, tapes, etc. for sale but only 13 reviews.

Almost everyone gives John Locke's products good reviews in their posts, but only 3 have actually posted reviews on his subject to course.

If you've bought these products, please help the newbies make informed decisions by giving your opinion about the product. Was it helpful? Well written? Worth money? New or just rehashed information?

Roger

Good Question! I was wondering exactly the same thing.

I personally found both Johnlocke and DerrickAli to be very competitively priced and both had valuable marketing and real estate purchasing strategies.

I have paid much more and got much less. I think the people who put this site together have a pretty good idea of what products are worth selling.

I have absolutely no complaints about the money I have spent in this site.

    rajwarrior,

Most investors new or old recognize who the real pro investors are and who the wannabes are by the way they post. Is it important to have pro investors posting here?

Now, I agree with you that the reviews are important, so I could quit posting, quit helping those that need help and let my reviews stand for themselves. Let the testimonials from those who are my students doing deals speak for themselves.

I have over 1000 posts here at TCI trying to help wherever I can, at least a 100 private emails every week helping people whether they have my manual or not.

What would be more important to you in a course writer, one who is actively helping others on a daily basis or one who has good reviews but never makes a post to help others?

I was only wondering about this or how others feel about this.

    John,

That's exactly my point. Even though I've never read your materials, I know that they are good from the reviews in the posts, and from the fact that you, in person, are here posting. I've suggested them to several people that were interested in subject-to investing.

However, I can't say the same for any other product that TCI has in its shop area because the reviews are not being used. I'm not trying to upset anyone, just trying to make the website better. If the material is complete fluff or worse, would you want to be selling it on this website?

    Hey Ra,

Just like to add that I can personally vouch that John is here to help people,, I e-mailed him with a problem I was having and he responded very quickly, not only helping me here .... but.... the Man gave me his phone # and we talked personally over the phone...

He DID NOT have to do this...! He asked me to give him my problem and he'd help me in anyway he could....which he did...

I bought his manual, haven't recieved it yet, only bought it 2 days ago but I can't wait to get it....I'll definitely post my reviews after reading his manual the 5th time....

    Thanks again John.

    rajwarrior,

Roger, I know you made this post in sincerity, so I don't think anyone took it wrong including myself.

I agree wholeheartedly that more reviews should be done. I was pointing out that I would like to see more course writters giving back to the communities that support them.

I have not read anyone elses course so I can not comment, even if I did it would not be my place to comment or it might look like sour grapes coming from me.

However, when a course writter does post then they are within the confines of you had better know what you are talking about or I will be the first one to say hello or goodbye my style.

Maybe the majority don't post because they feel that someone out there may challange them if they give out bad information, albeit a pro investor or a new person that knows better.

If I were just starting out I would want to know what a person is about before I put my money down or faith in them pure and simple, so the reviews are just a part of what a new person should look for.

Roger, Thank You for bringinng the subject up.

I wholeheartedly agree, John. And thank you for all your time and effort. I do wish more course writers believed as you do.

I've been receiving e-mails from Joe Crump, a self professed successful real estate investor. Has anyone ever heard of him? Any comments regarding dealing with him would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tracy
