Locations In Your Profiles

I'm just curious as to why some of y'all don't give a location in your profile, so your hometown shows up when you post a question. Of course, it's your prerogative, but it just seems to me that if we all know where you're from then we may be able to give a reply that is more pertinent to your geographic area.
No big deal, just my 2 cents.

We did not require state until pretty recently. We will be requiring this at a later time.

to carry on in line with questions about this board, I am curious how the investor status is assigned (freshman, sophmore, etc...)

I would like to know for sure how the status of members is dedicated, also. I think it has something to do with how many posts/articles a person has submitted?? Cause it seems like there are some people with little experience but a relatively high "ranking". Hmmm.[ Edited by noel2 on Date 11/19/2003 ]

noel2, it appears we may never know. It will go on as one of life's unknowns...

your status IS from how many posts you have cooperated from. doesnt mean that you are that person. so dont take people's advice for what you think their status is, take it into consideration that you think they know what they're talking about. Atleast until you know that certain individuals Do know what they're talking about.

ahabion, thank you for the answer. In other words don't pay the "veteran investor" $5K for his mentorship just because he is labeled as such.

Yes, Yes, please list the state and the hometown I feel like a really big idiot trying to be helpfull to somebody who does not designate his area of self. You know if you have that information, I have references that pretty well spell out all of the procedures in these United States.

I have a little problem with Albania, I believe you have to take out the tribal chief before you can begin a foreclosure.

Yes, these ranks are assigned out by how many postings you have done. If you are a loud and noxious type like me, then you post a lot. I cannot sleep anymore so between 12 midnite to three, I write and when I am uninspired, I post. Works for me. But my background in this business goes way way back. My grandfather carefully arranged my jobs as a child so that I would have experience with Recorders Office, Assessors Office. Bank of America, I hold the record there as the only teller who never balanced properly his account on the daily closeout. So they offered to promote me to Loan Officer!

It is my experience over the past 81 years that rank is handed out not so much as to what you know and can do but just by the passage of time in the job you are assigned.

When I was 19, I was transferred into the United States Army Air Corp and given the exhaulted rank of 2nd Lt. I then flew as a number 2 (wingman) to some of the most unexperienced fighter pilots I had ever seen. The fact that I had been flying combat for almost two years in the RAF, had been promoted from Sgt/Pilot all the way up to Sqdn/Ldr. and had over 300 missions meant nothing. Sooo I just went along, did my job, and in time as the casualty rate increased I got promoted and put my experience to good use.

So is it here. I read some of the Newbies and I am impressed. There are some thinkers, right Mrs. Metzler, and John Merchant. Olga posted the other day and she made good sense, I copied her posting. Nancy chastises me, cause she can spell and has a large fund of knowledge and, writes well. Jeanna is out hustling away and doing well. She learned it all here.

So guys relax we will all help each other and remember there is always something new to be learned or in my case unlearned as it is no longer applicable. No more Abstracting, no more wearing the Green eyeshade with the long black sleeves on my arms.

Coffee has improved, Bless Starbucks, if only they would take a check. How do you sign your name joel.?

    Abligingly Lucius
