Group Pages

Would someone please explain the rules of engagement regarding the group pages. I've been reviewing them and must admit I am totally confused.

Most appear to be inactive, or as if someone started to create a group page and abandoned the idea. It is difficult to discern if it is a legitimate group or not. I have read postings from many states and the inconsistency is prevalant throughout.

Any advice on how to determine the 'real' groups from the mistakes would be appreciated.

Check out the ones that are active.

    thank you Captain Obvious ...

if there are a fair number of members listed, contact numbers, and meeting places listed, one would assume the group is active

however, after calling contact numbers that are not in service... calling meeting places to find no one knows anything about a meeting...

one eventually begins to question the validity of the information being presented and questions the value of a site membership if the information is inaccurate.

I felt it was a legitimate question, not one necessarily deserving of your curt reply.
