ankags profile photo

I am a Californian and visit Florida ( North Miami area) several times a year. I am interested in finding out how best to go about investing in Florida tax liens. I would like to invest in liens to get own single family properties.

Are there some companies that help with the initial research and auction? Please help
Thanks

Florida is one of those Investor friendly states! Try doing a google search and I am sure you will find the information you are looking for. Good luck

    Thanks, Pejames
I already did an extensive google search and found thousands of sites advertising their manuals but I did not find sites that help out-of -the area investors with due diligence. Or maybe this is a completely do it yourself kind of a thing and I have to go to each county in person and do all of the work from start to finish by myself? I read "Tax Lien Certificates" by Jim Yocom, so I have some basic information. If you know of good companies that help investors I would appreciate hearing about them. Also are there any more good references? I am getting the 16% Solution but is there anything else I should not miss?
    Thanks

I found this site a few months ago, it has links to most of the State an Local government websites. If they are online they are probably listed here. http://www.statelocalgov.net
I'm from jax and all of our records are online, tax records, property appraisals and clerk of the court. With a little digging you can probably find what you want on www.stateandlocalgov.net.
Good Luck.[ Edited by wpruett on Date 01/12/2004 ]

    Dear wpruett
Thanks for this site. It is terrific. Some of the Florida counties have great information directly on the internet allowing me to do the research directly. Its not true for all the counties equally, though.
