Tax Liens Exist In Puerto Rico?

Nocturno profile photo

Hello everyone,

This is my first day in Real Estate "due dillegence" and other investments.

I will love to know to where or to whom should I go to know if Puerto Rico has tax liens. Puerto Rico is a US territory, but rules with taxes are kind of different here.

Let me know how can I find out.

Thanks,

I think the Puerto Rico Liens are handled by the same company that handles NYC, J.E.Roberts. try www.jer.com rolleyes

John Beck's "free and clear" program covers Puerto Rico. Check his personal www.johnbeck.net website.

    How good is his course?
Does he tell you how to buy tax lien certificates in Puerto Rico or how to find them even on P.R?

    Let me know,

Compared to what? His material has a lot more information than does Roy Stubblefields, for a lot less money.

I don't know how much detail you will get about PR tax sales or liens, as I have not paid any attention to that area.

I suggest you read the law about collection of delinquent property taxes. And read the websites for different local governments that conduct tax sales so you can get details of how they do it.

I think you may learn faster from John Beck's material, but I don't know for sure. He probably offers a money-back guarantee. If so, it is likely on his www.johnbeck.net website or he may answer an email to him.
