TaxSales.com looks like some sort of homemade informerical site - have you actually bought these items, or worked with these people, or are you affiliated with them? I'm just curious. I'm interested in finding info but not buying some cheesy infopak (there's a million of them out there on the 'net). Your opinion is appreciated - thanks!

I started my RE investments 3.5 yrs ago doing tax forfeited properties. Roy Stubblefield's program at www.taxsales.org is good basic and over the basic info that you will need.

Down side is, Roy had a stroke some months ago and probably will not be able to take the reigns of the business back full swing in the near future, he does have message board that once you make a purchase, his daughter-in-law will email you the link.

Just a sidebar, I quit corporate America some yrs. back, went back to school to finish my undergrad, once finished I went on work on my MBA, all with the techniques of the tax forfeited system.

I simply tired of it and wanted to try different techniques in buying and selling, hence, I'm on this board!

Hello Alarson, I see you are a person after my own heart. You want to know where you can obtain FREE information about Tax Liens. Well, you should go to the county clerk in the area that you are interested in purchasing property. Most the tax lien property is posted under the Master Commissioner for that county. You maybe able to look the phone number up in the state and county offices of the local phone book. There you go, I trust this will help you on your way.

    Alarson,

I highly recommend that you thoroughly research any tax-forfeited parcels before purchase. Information about Minnesota laws regarding delinquent taxes and tax forfeiture is available for your review at a County Public Library.

    The following statutes apply:

Minnesota Statute, Chapter 279, pertains to Delinquent Real Estate Taxes
Minnesota Statute, Chapter 280, pertains to Real Estate Judgment Sales
Minnesota Statute, Chapter 281, pertains to Real Estate Tax Sales and Redemption
Minnesota Statute, Chapter 282, pertains to Tax-Forfeited Land Sales

Thanks for all the helpful info - MN is a hard state to buy in, so I'm trying to gather information elsewhere - this is a great start. If anyone has any other links, etc. I'd love to see them. Thanks again - you guys rule!
