Tax Deeds In Pike County PA

TaxLienLady profile photo

Is anyone familiar with tax deed auctions in PA? I understand that if you buy a deed at a tax sale, you are still required to pay any other liens, such as mortgage liens. If the property is not sold in the sale, they have a second sale a few month later in which all other liens have been forgiven. Does anyone know about this? I'd like to bid on some properties in Pike County.
Thanks,
Joanne

    Joanne--(PA)--------------------

I suggest you do a search on the achives of this site for "pa" and "pennsylvania." You will learn a lot.

Also, read county treasurer/tax collect websites about the topic.

Read the state statutes on the collection of delinquent property taxes.
